Enbridge Norlite Pipeline Project

Norlite Pipeline Project – accommodate the need for additional diluent supply to serve the planned expansion of Alberta oil sands, Enbridge Athabasca is proposing to construct and operate the Norlite Pipeline Project. The Project is comprised of a new pipeline and associated facilities to transport diluent from Enbridge Athabasca’s existing Stonefell Terminal to the existing Suncor East Tank Farm, near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Specifically, the Project is comprised of the following:

• pipeline, approximately 449 km in length, between the existing Stonefell Terminal and the existing Suncor East Tank Farm;

• pipeline, approximately one km in length, between the existing Stonefell Terminal and Keyera Energy Ltd.’s existing Fort Saskatchewan Condensate System; and

• pump station and associated facilities at the existing Stonefell Terminal.

The Project is designed to accommodate an annualized volume of approximately 212,000 barrels per day, and will be readily expandable to accommodate future demands for capacity increases with the addition of further infrastructure. Pending regulatory approval, construction is expected to commence in Q2 2015, with a planned in-service date of Q2 2017.  The Project and has received a confirmation of non-objection from landowners or occupants of all but 87 tracts of freehold land of the 292 of 54 landowners and occupants.
