Perun Energy LLC Begins Delaware Basin Development Following Asset Acquisition in Reeves County

Perun Energy LLC is quickly establishing itself as a new operator in the Delaware Basin following the acquisition of producing assets from UpCurve Energy LLC in Reeves County, Texas. Recent Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) filings show three facility permits—including CTB18, CTB 4, and Sunshine State 44 1H—have been transferred from UpCurve Energy to Perun Energy, signaling the transition of operating responsibility for existing production infrastructure.

The acquisition is being followed by active drilling. Perun has reported three horizontal wells on the Eastern Pearce lease in Reeves County targeting the Wolfbone (Trend Area). The wells, permitted on June 17, 2026, are planned to approximately 11,500 feet and represent the company’s first reported drilling program under the Perun name. The development is concentrated in the Delaware Basin, one of North America’s highest-return unconventional oil plays.

The combination of facility transfers and new drilling activity indicates Perun is executing a strategy of entering the Permian Basin through asset acquisitions while immediately advancing development on its newly acquired acreage. Rather than building a position from the ground up, the company is leveraging existing production facilities and infrastructure to accelerate operations and establish an active presence in Reeves County.

Industry Impact

For oilfield service companies and suppliers, Perun Energy represents a new customer entering one of the industry’s most active drilling regions. As the company expands development in Reeves County, opportunities are expected across drilling, completions, production optimization, artificial lift, environmental compliance, emissions management, midstream services, and facility maintenance.
