Validus Energy is a Denver-based exploration and production company focused on the acquisition and exploitation of upstream oil and gas assets. The Company’s primary objective is to build and operate a large-scale portfolio of producing wells and drilling locations in the Eagle Ford Shale.

Validus Energy is financially backed by equity commitments from Pontem Energy Capital (“PEC”), other institutions, and private investors. PEC provides alternative capital and operations solutions to public and private energy companies, investing across the capital structure and providing value-added operational expertise. PEC is actively partnering with these businesses to drive value creation for its investors.

Operations

The Company has a returns focused business model – pursue disciplined growth, emphasize capital efficiency, maintain low leverage, and prioritize cash returns to shareholders. These principles will position Validus Energy to build consistent economic value through the cycle.

Eagle Ford in Texas is the most mature tight oil play in the Lower 48 current, oil and natural gas production of 2.5 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Measuring 400 miles long and 50 miles wide along the Texas Gulf Coast, the Eagle Ford basin is spread over 12,000 square miles in South and central Texas.
