The Permian Highway Pipeline, LLC (PHP) expansion project will increase PHP’s capacity by approximately 550 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d). The project will involve primarily additional compression on PHP to increase natural gas deliveries from the Waha area to multiple mainline connections, Katy, Texas, and various U.S. Gulf Coast markets.
Pending the timely receipt of required approvals, the target in-service date for the project is anticipated to be November 1, 2023.

Project Overview:
- Kinder Morgan, Inc. and Kinetik Holdings Inc. have announced a final investment decision to proceed with the Permian Highway Pipeline Expansion Project (PHP Expansion Project).
- The project will increase the Permian Highway Pipeline (PHP) capacity by approximately 550 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d).
- The PHP Expansion Project will provide an outlet for increased natural gas production from the Permian Basin to growing market areas along the U.S. Gulf Coast, including new LNG facilities that will be in service in the next few years.
- The project will primarily involve additional compression on PHP to increase natural gas deliveries from the Waha area to multiple mainline connections, Katy, Texas, and various U.S. Gulf Coast markets.
- Additional new compression locations on PHP are proposed for Upton, Schleicher, Kimble and Caldwell counties in Texas. The project will include modifications to the existing compressor facility in Pecos County, Texas.
- The project will include approximately 15 miles of looping; approximately five miles in Reeves County and Pecos County, Texas and approximately 10 miles in Lavaca County, Texas.
- Pending the timely receipt of required approvals, the target in-service date for the project is anticipated to be in the fourth quarter of 2023.
