Today’s energy market action:
- Traders returned to stocks and commodities on Tuesday, sending oil prices and most global indices higher.
- Brent rose 1%, while WTI gained almost 2%, ending the day just a hair below US$60 a barrel.
- Canada’s light and heavy oil benchmarks also rose 2%. Discounts to WTI were roughly unchanged for the day.
- Gasoline prices gained about 1%, while heating oil rose 0.5%.
