Pathways Alliance, the coalition of six Canadian oilsands majors — Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., Cenovus Energy Inc., ConocoPhillips Canada, Imperial Oil Ltd., Meg Energy Corp. and Suncor Energy Inc. These companies represent about 95 per cent of oilsands production in Canada.
The federal government has called on the sector to reduce those emissions by 42 per cent from 2019 levels by 2030 as a result Pathways Alliance has proposed a $16.5-billion carbon capture and storage hub and pipeline for northern Alberta that would initially collect captured CO2 from oilsands facilities in the Fort McMurray, Christina Lake and Cold Lake regions.

- ConocoPhillips is an international, integrated energy company. It has six segments. Its E&P segment explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids and bitumen on a worldwide basis. ConocoPhillips Canada Resources Corp ranks #17 in wells drilled in 2022 with 85 wells drilled in Western Canada.
- MEG is an energy company focused on sustainable in situ thermal oil production in the southern Athabasca oil region of Alberta, Canada. MEG transports and sells thermal oil (known as Access Western Blend or AWB) to customers throughout North America and internationally. MEG Energy Corp. ranks #19 in wells drilled in 2022 with 67 wells drilled in Western Canada.
- Suncor Energy Inc. (Suncor) is an integrated energy company. The Company explores for, acquires, develops, produces and markets crude oil and natural gas in Canada and internationally, and it transports and refines crude oil and market petroleum and petrochemical products primarily in Canada. Suncor Energy Inc. ranks #10 in wells drilled in 2022 with 143 wells drilled in Western Canada.
