Kinetik’s Kings Landing sour gas conversion project in New Mexico is designed to expand the company’s ability to process higher H2S and CO2 gas volumes across its Delaware Basin system while supporting long-term producer development plans in the region. The project has received all major regulatory approvals, construction is underway, and Phase 1 is expected to enter service by the end of 2026.
Kinetik’s potential sale is being driven as much by asset quality as deal timing, with its Texas air permits revealing a tightly clustered set of compressor stations and central processing facilities in the core of the Delaware Basin. Those permitted, gas-focused facilities sit directly upstream of growing Gulf Coast demand, making Kinetik a highly attractive target for both strategic midstream buyers and infrastructure investors.

Kinetik was approved by the Texas Railroad Commission to build 8.2 mile pipeline in Reeves County, TX (pernit #10633). Kinetik has positioned itself as one of the largest midstream companies in the Delaware Basin, with a significant operational footprint that includes over 4,600 miles of pipeline and management of approximately 1.4 million serviced acres across Texas and New Mexico.
Kinetik has entered into an agreement to acquire Durango Permian LLC, expanding its footprint in Eddy and Lea Counties, New Mexico.
