The United States continues to expand its position as a global LNG supply leader, driven by strong international demand, long-term offtake agreements, and growing geopolitical focus on energy security. The following overview highlights major U.S. LNG export projects, summarizing their locations, current development status, and the companies leading investment across the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Plaquemines LNG (Phase 1 & Phase 2)
Located in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, the Plaquemines LNG project is being developed by Venture Global with Phase 1 under commissioning and Phase 2 under active construction. The project is designed to reach approximately 27 MTPA once fully completed, supported by long-term offtake agreements with global buyers.

Corpus Christi LNG Stage 3
Corpus Christi Stage 3 is located in San Patricio County, Texas, and is owned and operated by Cheniere Energy. The project reached full notice to proceed in 2023 and remains under construction, adding more than 10 MTPA of liquefaction capacity using midscale trains.

Golden Pass LNG Restart Phases
Golden Pass LNG is located in Sabine Pass, Texas, and is jointly owned by QatarEnergy (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%). Following construction delays, the project restart phases are underway with first LNG now expected in 2025 as commissioning resumes across multiple liquefaction trains.
