Woodway Energy Infrastructure Advances New 10 mile Demand-Pull Pipeline Project in Goliad County

Woodway Energy Infrastructure, a fast-growing midstream company specializing in demand-pull natural gas infrastructure, is moving forward with its newest Texas project. The Railroad Commission of Texas has approved Pipeline Permit #10733 for the Woodway Texas Coleto Connector, authorizing construction and future operation of a 9.92-mile gas utility pipeline in Goliad County.

The permit marks a key step in Woodway’s strategy to expand natural gas delivery capacity for local distribution companies, power generators, and industrial consumers across the United States. According to the filing, the pipeline is scheduled for construction in 2026, with the current application serving as the initial approval required to obtain Gas Utility Operator status.

A project map included in the permit shows the planned 10-mile route stretching from the Kilgore area toward the Coleto Creek Reservoir—positioned to support regional power generation and industrial demand. This aligns with Woodway Energy Infrastructure’s mission to develop, acquire, and operate infrastructure that brings natural gas directly to where it is needed most.

As power demand accelerates across Texas and natural gas continues to anchor grid reliability, Woodway’s new project underscores the increasing importance of demand-pull midstream development. The Coleto Connector is poised to become a foundational asset supporting industrial growth and energy resilience in the region.
