Four Canvas Energy wells produce more than 1,500 barrels of oil a day

A series of reports filed on four Kingfisher County wells completed in December of last year and drilled on a single pad shows combined production of more than 1,500 barrels of oil a day.

Oklahoma City-based Canvas Energy LLC, formerly known as Chaparral Energy, drilled the wells last fall and reported completion of all four Bowser wells, located 4 miles east of the city of Kingfisher at 16 16N 6W were in late December 2022.

The Bowser 1606 5umh-9 was the largest producer with 453 barrels of oil a day and 1,636 Mcf of natural gas from the Mississippian formation. Drilled depth was 12,616 feet while the completion report showed the true vertical depth was 7,250 feet.

The Bowser 1606 2loh-9 had production of 405 barrels of oil a day and 864 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 12,882 feet. The completion report showed the true vertical depth was 7,647 feet. The well was spud in October 2022.

The third well, the Bowser 1606 4loh-9, produced 373 barrels of oil a day and 1,271 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 12,878 feet. The completion report indicated the true vertical depth was 7,578 feet.

The fourth Canvas Energy well, the Bowser 1606 3loh-9, produced 314 barrels of oil a day and 423 Mcf of natural gas. The drilled depth was 13,062 feet and the completion report showed the true vertical depth was 7,616 feet. Completion was Dec. 26, 2022 following a September spud.
