Company Description
Lario has operated throughout both the U.S. and Canada focusing it’s resources and capital on rate of return driven projects. Historically, Lario has driven growth through the drill-bit, discovering reserves organically from geologic thesis, to land acquisition and finally exploratory drilling and field delineation.
Operations
Lario has built from the ground floor several assets over many decades, namely strong positions in the Powder River Basin, D.J. Basin, Kansas, Oklahoma, California, Texas and Canada. While Lario will buy reserves during periods of low commodity prices, Lario will sell assets opportunistically. Over the last several years, Lario has done just that and divested over $500 million worth of properties in the aforementioned areas. Lario has taken portions of those proceeds to invest in higher rate of return projects in the Williston Basin and Permian Basin.
The Midland Basin encompasses a 13,000 square mile area of West Texas. It contains all or parts of 20 counties in West Texas, ranging from Terry and Lynn on the north to Crockett and Schleicher on the south. Much of the tight oil development in the Midland Basin has occurred in the center of the basin, primarily in Martin, Midland, Upton, Howard, Glasscock, and Reagan counties at depths of 7,000 feet (ft) to 10,000 ft
