Ovintiv has done it again…brought in 3 wells in Oklahoma’s STACK with daily production of more than 4,100 barrels of oil a day.
The Emory 1708 2h-15x, Emory 1708 5h-15x and the Emory 1708 3h-15x, located at 22 17N 8W,a site six miles northwest of the city of Kingfisher had combined production of 4,138 barrels of oil a day.
The 3 wells had spud dates in February of 2021 and completion came in August 2021, according to the Ovintiv filing with Oklahoma regulators.

The largest of the wells, the Emory 1708 3h-15x, had production of 1,722 barrels of oil a day and 2,349 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,852 feet according to its completion report.
Emory 1708 5h-15x had production of 1,394 barrels of oil a day and 1,633 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,320 feet per its completion report.
Emory 1708 2h-15x had production of 1,022 barrels of oil a day and 1,627 Mcf of natural gas and its completion report showed a drilling depth of 19,075 feet.
Ovintiv continued its hot hand in Kingfisher County drilling and over the past year reported wells with similar kinds of oil production.
Another Kingfisher County well as completed by Tapstone Energy LLC and had production of 717 barrels of oil a day and 607 Mcf of natural gas. The Randall 31-18-6 4hc, located at 6 17N 6W or 2 miles east of Dover was completed in October, 2021 after a July spud date.
Other reports showed Continental brought in a Blaine County gas well with 24,603 Mcf a day production. The Eichelberger Fiu 2-21-28xhm, located at 21 14N 13W southeast of the town of Thomas was completed in September 2021 at a drilling depth of 23,268 feet. It had a June 2021 spud date.
Continental Resources also completed the Lambakis 4-11-2xhw at 14 3N 5W, southwest of Lindsay in Grady County. The well, spudded in January 2021 was completed in May with production of 123 barrels of oil a day and 5,497 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 25,476 feet.
New permits to drill issued this week show Continental also plans a 5-well single pad drilling effort in Grady County. The 5 Niswonger wells will be drilled at 16 6N 6W, a site southeast of Chickasha and close to the Washita River.
XTO Energy Inc. had a two-well single pad report in Carter County where the Hewitt Unit (Hewitt Unit 2394) and the Hewitt Unit, (V Dillard 16) had combined production of 274 barrels of oil a day. The wells are located at 22 4S 2W and were completed in September 2021.
An Ellis County well with production of 236 barrels of oil a day and 886 Mcf of natural gas was completed by Unbridled Resources LLC in November
New drilling permits show Chaparral Energy LLC plans a Canadian County well while Comanche Exploration Co. LLC will drill a Major County well.
Banner Oil & Gas also received permits for a 3-well single pad project in Stephens County.
