PLAINS MIDSTREAM CANADA ULC. Permit #5,844  – 4.82KM Pipeline to pipeline

PMC owns, operates, acquires and develops a diversified portfolio of complementary midstream energy assets.

Our extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminals, storage and gathering assets are strategically located in key crude oil and NGL producing basins, transportation corridors, and at major market hubs in Canada and the United States.

Manito (Saskatchewan) is a dual pipeline system comprised of the Manito pipeline, the North Saskatchewan pipeline, and the Bodo/Cactus Lake pipeline. Each system consists of a blended crude oil line and a parallel line that delivers condensate, also called diluent, to upstream locations for blending with heavy crude oil. The diluent lines originate at PMC’s Kerrobert Terminal, where the blended crude oil also delivers.

Rainbow system (Alberta) is made up of two pipelines, Rainbow I and Rainbow II. Rainbow I carries light sweet and heavy crude oil while Rainbow II transports condensate (diluent). Rainbow II originates in Edmonton, where the light sweet and heavy crude oil also delivers from Rainbow I.

Rangeland system (Alberta) consists of a mainline and gathering pipelines that transport NGL mix, condensate, light sweet crude and light sour crude. The Rangeland system has the ability to deliver north to Edmonton, or south to PADD IV refiners.

South Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan) is comprised of a mainline and gathering system that transports heavy crude oil to the PMC Regina Terminal.

Co-Ed NGL system (Alberta) gathers NGL from approximately 35 field gas processing plants, delivering to the PMC Fort Saskatchewan fractionation and storage complex.

Plains Petroleum Transmission Company (PPTC) system (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) consists of a mainline that transports NGL, providing service to producers in Western Canada and NGL customers throughout Canada and the northern U.S.. The pipeline stretches from the Empress Terminal in Alberta through Regina, Saskatchewan and to the Fort Whyte Terminal in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

OBSIDIAN ENERGY LTD. Permit #16,654 – 4.4KM Satellite to pipeline

Obsidian Energy Ltd. (TSX: OBE) (NYSE: OBE) is an intermediate-sized oil and gas producer with a well-balanced portfolio of high-quality assets producing roughly 30,000 boe per day. These assets, and the organization we have crafted around them, provide the right platform to deliver bottom-line results, and an entrepreneurial spirit that will allow us to succeed in this evolving industry.

Cardium Play has been one of the largest oil fields in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin with production history of almost six decades. … The areas with highest liquid content are Lochend and East Pembina, the highest initial production is typically encountered in Lochend, Willesden Green and Ferrier areas.

“We are excited to continue further developing our assets in 2022, while generating free cash flow for debt repayment and other shareholder value initiatives,” said Stephen Loukas, Obsidian Energy’s Interim President and CEO. “For the first time since COVID-19 began, we expect to grow production from the prior year. Our Cardium assets, including our return to the Pembina area, continue to deliver excellent results and we’ve expanded our focus to apply our technical knowledge and proven execution ability to our Peace River Bluesky assets.

We currently have four drilling rigs active in our 2022 drilling program, which includes 19 wells (18.0 net) in our Willesden Green and Pembina assets and an additional ten wells (10.0 net) in our Peace River asset, including four appraisal wells into the Clearwater formation.

BIRCHCLIFF ENERGY LTD. Permit #43,345 – 3.3KM Pipeline to well

Birchcliff Energy (formerly investment shell Scout Capital) is an oil and gas exploration and production company that operates in Alberta, and has estimated proved and probable reserves of 46.5 million barrels of oil equivalent. It produces about 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Formed in early 2004, Birchcliff Energy acquired Scout Capital in a reverse merger and became publicly traded. The proceeds of its public offering were used to fund the purchase of a natural gas processing plant and gas-producing properties in the Peace River Arch area.

Birchcliff has a 100% working interest in its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant and two oil batteries, as well as various working interests in numerous other gas plants, oil batteries, compressors, facilities and infrastructure.

Pouce Coupe Gas Plant
Birchcliff’s 100% owned Pouce Coupe Gas Plant, which is currently licensed to process up to 340 MMcf/d of natural gas, is located in the heart of the Corporation’s Montney/Doig Resource Play. The strategically situated site for the Pouce Coupe Gas Plant enables the Corporation to control and operate all essential infrastructure from wellhead to sales point.

The low operating costs of the Pouce Coupe Gas Plant and related infrastructure give the Corporation a strong competitive advantage over others paying for third-party natural gas processing. The Pouce Coupe Gas Plant is a key component in positioning the Corporation as a low-cost finder and producer of natural gas on the Montney/Doig Resource Play.

In 2018, the Corporation completed the Phase VI expansion of the Pouce Coupe Gas Plant, which expanded processing capacity to 340 MMcf/d from 260 MMcf/d. The expansion was completed on schedule and on budget.
