The firm filed a completion report this week on a well completed April 14, 2023 at 29 1N 4W, a site several miles north of the city of Velma. The Ringer Ranch 2-20-17xhm, produced 1,187 barrels of oil and 2,287 Mcf of natural gas a day from the Sycamore formation.
Drilled depth was 20,638 feet while the completion report showed a true vertical depth of 11,315 feet. The well was spud in December 2022.
Continental has intentions to drill other wells in the same area of Stephens County. It received two permits to drill this week from Oklahoma regulators.
TheSUNDANCE KID #2-23-26-35XHM, is a site a few miles east of Velma while the CHISHOLM TRAIL #2-23-14-11XHM is at an adjacent site.
