- Expand Energy remained a top player, with 24 wells in Q1 2025 (down slightly from 26 in Q1 2024).
- TG Natural Resources, BPX, and Sabine Oil & Gas all increased activity year-over-year.
- Aethon Energy, on the other hand, saw a reduction from 21 wells in Q1 2024 to 15 in Q1 2025.
- Rig Contractor Trends:
- The number of unique contractor and rig combinations fell from 49 in Q1 2024 to 39 in Q1 2025, indicating a trend toward consolidation of rig services or more efficient rig utilization.
