PEYTO EXPLORATION ..- Permit #59,172- 1369KM 

Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. was founded in 1998 with a strategy to enhance shareholder value through the exploration, discovery and low cost development of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

Cardium – The Company plans to keep innovating with its Cardium well design to lower this cost in 2020 while continuing to enjoy the higher netback and value realized from increased liquids production.  The $26.5 million invested in facilities and major pipeline projects included $13 million in new pipelines and liquid handling facilities at Wildhay to accommodate the growing Cardium liquids-rich production. New condensate stabilization and storage facilities increased Wildhay’s condensate processing capacity from 1,400 bbl/d to 4,300 bbl/d and site storage from 2,000 bbl to 4,000 bbl.

Conventional Oil
Cenovus’s conventional oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids business is one of our production areas. Our conventional assets include production and operations in the Deep Basin, a liquids-rich natural gas fairway located along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains in northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia.

In May 2017, Cenovus assumed ownership of ConocoPhillips’ conventional assets in Alberta and British Columbia.[5] Cenovus’s current conventional assets include the Deep Basin, a liquids-rich natural gas fairway located in northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia, and the Marten Hills heavy oil project. The Deep Basin asset comprises approximately 2.8 million net acres of land and produced more than 97,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day in 2019. Cenovus also holds a significant land position in the Marten Hills region for potential development.

Area of Operation

The primary focus in the Grande Prairie Region is the Karr and Wapiti Montney properties, located southeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta, in the over-pressured, liquids-rich Deep Basin Montney trend.

As at December 31, 2021, Paramount had approximately 230,000 gross (176,000 net) acres of land in the Grande Prairie Region, including approximately 100,000 net acres of Montney rights and approximately 65,000 net acres of Deep Basin Cretaceous rights, which partially overlap the Montney rights.

Sales volumes for this Region averaged 54,737 Boe/d in the first quarter of 2022 (comprised of 151.4 MMcf/d of shale gas, 1.1 MMcf/d of conventional natural gas, 29,309 Bbl/d of NGLs and 6 Bbl/d of crude oil).
