Devon and Marathon big winners in the STACK and SCOOP

Oklahoma STACK and SCOOP plays yielded some big producers in recent months for Marathon Oil and Devon Energy. Based on today’s crude oil prices, two of those wells theoretically would produce more than $7 million a month—if their production continued on the rate they did initially

In the SCOOP, Marathon Oil came up with two wells on a single pad that produced more than 3,000 barrels of oil a day. The wells, located at 7 6N 5W, a site about 8 miles southeast of Chickasha had combined production of 3,012 barrels of oil a day when completed in September 2021.
