Oklahoma’s McClain County was the site of another strong oil well, this time by EOG Resources of Oklahoma City. The well produced more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.
The energy company filed a completion report this week on the Warhawk 0631 4h well, located at 7 9N 4W , a site a few miles northwest of the city of Newcastle.

Production was 1,066 barrels of oil a day and 1,264 Mcf of natural gas from the Woodford formation. Its drilled depth was 19,978 feet while the true vertical depth was 8,877 feet according to the completion report. The well was spud in January of this year and completed April 25.
EOG is actually headquartered in Houston but has a large office in Oklahoma City. The firm is preparing to pay a quarterly dividend of $0.825 per share on July 31 of this year. The indicated annual rate would be $3.30 per share.
