Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway purchased 763,017 shares of Occidental Petroleum (OXY) for $35.7 million, increasing its stake to 28.2%. Berkshire also holds warrants to buy 83.9 million more shares at $59.62 each (worth ~$5 billion), but Buffett has stated he does not intend to take control of the company.
