After securing financial backing from Vitol in February 2022, VTX Energy Partners became the successor company to ATX Energy Partners.

Vitol is exploring a sale of its VTX Energy Partners business, potentially valuing it at up to $3 billion, including debt. VTX operates in the Permian Basin’s southern Delaware region, producing around 46,000 BOE/d from 46,000 net acres and also owns a water treatment business. Vitol previously sold Vencer Energy to Civitas Resources for $2.1 billion in 2023 and is working with Jefferies to attract buyers for VTX.
