WaterBridge Launches Open Season for Speedway Pipeline in the Northern Delaware Basin

On April 1, 2025, WaterBridge officially launched an open season to support the development of its new Speedway Pipeline, a dual 30-inch produced water system designed to address rising pore pressure and enhance flow assurance in the Northern Delaware Basin.

The project will connect Eddy and Lea counties (New Mexico) with LandBridge’s Central Basin Platform (Texas), unlocking access to 1 million barrels per day of approved pore space capacity. With produced water volumes rising alongside drilling activity, the Speedway Pipeline provides a critical midstream solution for operators looking to scale safely and sustainably.

“By connecting southeastern New Mexico to the Central Basin Platform, we are providing operators with access to largely undeveloped pore space,” said Michael “Chop” Reitz, President & COO of WaterBridge.

Backed by Five Point Energy, Devon Energy, and GIC, WaterBridge currently handles 2.4 million bpd of produced water across 2,400 miles of pipeline in major U.S. basins. The Speedway project builds on that foundation by delivering long-haul water transport infrastructure to support future growth in the Permian.
