We have 3 types of permits related to construction of new facilities the Permit Type is related to the stage of the project. 

  • Notify New – Prior to construction, a notification with basic information must be submitted.
  • Initial -Ninety days after submitting the Initial Project Notification, a more detailed registration for the standard permit is required.  This could be related to existing plant maintenance
  • Revision – Permit approved with a revision to the permit. This could be related to existing plant maintenance

BĀSA’s corporate strategy targets the exploitation of mature properties divested by large oil and gas firms, concentrating on contrarian and niche oil and gas plays.

Our gathering system serves producers in Midland, Martin, Howard, Glasscock, Upton and Reagan Counties. Our network of gathering pipelines includes a 20-inch, high-pressure trunkline and includes a 16-inch, high pressure pipeline which connects to our 20-inch trunkline and serves Howard and Martin Counties.

In the first half of 2020, we placed in service the Howard County Express pipeline, a 24-inch, high-pressure pipeline serving eastern Martin and Howard Counties which connects these areas directly to our processing complex. All our high-pressure, large-diameter trunklines were constructed and placed in service between 2015 and 2020.

Energy Transfer (Lone Star NGL Mont Belvieu LP) Permit# RN100226620 near MONT BELVIEU – LONE STAR NGL MONT BELVIEU SOUTH TERMINAL

The Mont Belvieu storage facility, owned by Lone Star, is an integrated liquids storage facility with over 50 million barrels of salt dome capacity providing 100% fee-based cash flows. The Mont Belvieu storage facility has access to multiple NGL and refined product pipelines, the Houston Ship Channel, and numerous petrochemical plants, refineries and fractionation facilities.

Our Mont Belvieu fractionators handle NGLs delivered from several sources, including the Lone Star Express pipeline and the Justice pipeline. Fractionator VI was placed in service in February 2019, Fractionator VII was placed in service in the first quarter of 2020, and Fractionator VIII is currently under construction and is scheduled to be operational by the second quarter of 2021.

The Permian Midland system consists of approximately 7,000 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines and sixteen processing plants with an aggregate nameplate capacity of 2,599 MMcf/d, all located within the Permian Basin in West Texas. Eleven of these plants and 4,900 miles of gathering pipelines belong to a joint venture (“WestTX”), in which we have an approximate 72.8% ownership.

Pioneer, a major producer in the Permian Basin, owns the remaining interest in the WestTX system. In addition, we are constructing the Legacy Plant, a 250 MMcf/d cryogenic natural gas processing plant, which is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2022.
