Texas Pipeline Projects

Pipeline permits include gathering or transport pipelines of a liquid, gas or oil through a system of pipes. In addition to these main types of pipelines, there are also four other sub-categories of pipelines: Gathering Lines, Feeder Lines, Transmission Pipelines and Distribution Pipelines. The permits represent all types of pipelines. Source Texas pipeline and facility project permits April 16, 2022

Maverick Natural Resources facility transfer from ConocoPhillips

Maverick Natural Resources (“Maverick”) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire certain producing properties in the Permian Bas n from ConocoPhillips for a purchase price of $440 million, subject to customary adjustments, with an effective date of September 1, 2021. The assets to be acquired produced over 11,000 boepd (50% oi ) from the Central Basin Platform and Northwest Shelf of the Permian Basin during September 2021. The pos t on spans approximate y 144,500 net acres across Andrews (Texas}, Ector (Texas}, Eddy (N.M.}, and Lea (N.M.} Counties and is large y operated and held by production.

Phillips 66 – Multiple Permits Related to Gray Oak Pipeline

Gray Oak is a state-of-the-art logistics system anchored by an 850-mile pipeline stretching from the Permian Basin in West Texas to the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas and on to the Gulf Coast. Phillips 66 is the pipeline’s builder and operator, and Phillips 66 Partners, the master limited partnership formed by Phillips 66, owns a 42.25% stake.

The system, which began limited service last November from West Texas to Central Junction near Three Rivers, about 75 miles southeast of San Antonio, has expanded service to include more grades of crude and is extending it south and east to the coast. Work to connect Eagle Ford production to Gray Oak is ongoing and expected to be completed by June 1.

Once fully operational, Gray Oak will transport up to 900,000 barrels per day to destinations including the South Texas Gateway Terminal, currently under construction in Ingleside and in which Phillips 66 Partners owns a 25% interest, and the Phillips 66 Sweeny Refinery.

Conocophillips – Permit RN109794057 – M GOHLKE UNIT A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 – DEWITT

ConocoPhillips is a multinational corporation engaged in hydrocarbon exploration. It is based in the Energy Corridor district of Houston, Texas. The company has operations in 17 countries and has production in the United States, Norway, Canada, Australia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Malaysia, Libya, China, and Qatar.

Eagle Ford shale trend, located in south Texas, was one of ConocoPhillips’ most promising development opportunities. We have produced more than 500 million barrels of oil equivalent from the field and proven the Eagle Ford is competitive even in low price environments. On May 4, 2021, the company reached a significant milestone, bringing the 1,500th producing well online. While we celebrate the achievement, we also look ahead to the significant number of high-quality locations left to drill.

EOG Resources – Permit# RN111473849 – REEVES

EOG Resources’ geographic focus is determined by where it can locate primary energy resources — natural gas, natural gas liquids, and oil. In recent years that focus has been on exploiting shale plays in the US.

EOG Resources, Inc. is developing the permian basin with a focus in Ward, Reagan, Pecos, Loving, Lea, Eddy, Irion, Reeves, Crockett, Chaves and Upton counties. EOG’s position in the Permian Basin and adjacent plays to 574,000 net acres.

Laredo Petroleum, Inc. – Permit# RN106779671 – GLASSCOCK

Laredo’s Permian activities are centered on the east side of the basin approximately 35 miles east of Midland, Texas in primarily Glasscock and Reagan Counties. Today, Laredo has over 140,000 gross acres (with a majority of it being contiguous) and of which 85% is HBP.

The principal focus of Laredo’s horizontal drilling activities is an oil play (that also includes a liquids-rich natural gas component) that involves both the Wolfcamp (Upper, Middle, and Lower) and the Cline formations. Secondary targets include the Spraberry, Canyon, Strawn and ABW intervals. In total, over 12 viable landing points have been identified throughout the stratigraphic section (~ 4,500 ft. thick) as being prospective for development.

Mewbourne Oil Company- Permit# RN111472262 – LOVING

Mewbourne Oil Company has been in Midland since it was founded in 1965

The company has operation offices in Perryton and Midland, Texas, Hobbs, New Mexico and Woodward, Oklahoma. The Perryton, Texas office is responsible for operations in the Northeastern Texas Panhandle; the Midland, Texas office is responsible for operations in West Texas; the Hobbs, New Mexico office is responsible for operations in Southeastern New Mexico; the Woodward Oklahoma office is responsible for operations in Western Oklahoma. These district offices are involved in drilling, completion and production of oil and gas wells. The staff at each of these offices is typically composed of supervisory, engineering and operations personnel involved in the drilling, completion and production of these wells. Wellsite geologists also work out of these operations offices.

Permian Basin is a shale basin about 250 miles wide and 300 miles long, spanning parts of west Texas and southeastern New Mexico. It includes the highly-prolific Delaware and Midland sub-basins.

The Permian Basin, which spans western Texas and eastern New Mexico, represents the most prolific hydrocarbon production region in the United States. They accounted for about 30% of U.S. crude oil production and 14% of U.S. natural gas production (measured as gross withdrawals) in 2020. Technology innovations, such as longer lateral wells and multi-well pad drilling, has helped reduce costs and increase productivity in developing oil and natural gas resources in the Permian Basin.
