Texas Oil & Gas Facility Permits

Facilities are a system of vessels, piping, valves, tanks and other equipment that are used to gather, process, measure, store or dispose of petroleum, natural gas or water. … The upstream facility network includes equipment for the handling of oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and water.  Source Texas pipeline and facility project permits Feb 17, 2022

We have 3 types of permits related to construction of new facilities the Permit Type is related to the stage of the project.

  • Notify New – Prior to construction, a notification with basic information must be submitted.
  • Initial -Ninety days after submitting the Initial Project Notification, a more detailed registration for the standard permit is required.  This could be related to existing plant maintenance

CRESCENT PASS ENERGY buys 51 assets from CCI Gulf Coast Upstream

CRESCENT PASS ENERGY has a proven track record of acquiring, operating, and enhancing producing properties across the Lower 48. We are a cross-disciplinary team with expertise in production optimization, reservoir engineering, land management, and asset sourcing. Our data driven, systematic process enables us to efficiently identify, evaluate, and transact on compelling opportunities.

CCI Gulf Coast Upstream
CCI acquired its East Texas upstream portfolio, TG Natural Resources (formerly Castleton Resources), through multiple transactions, starting in 2014. CCI continued to build its portfolio position through multiple acquisitions, including the acquisition of certain upstream assets from Anadarko in 2016 and Shell in 2019. Most recently, TG Natural Resources acquired Terryville upstream assets in Northern Louisiana from subsidiaries of Range Resources Corporation. In 2017, Tokyo Gas America Ltd. completed a 30% strategic equity investment in CCI’s East Texas upstream portfolio, business and through subsequent transactions increased its stake to 79% in 2021.

Freestone County, TX currently ranks #143 in the nation based on barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) production.

HAYNESVILLE SHALE East Texas and Northwest Louisiana, is considered one of the top three U.S. natural gas deposits. A conservative assessment reported by the Institute for Energy Research in 2010 gave the Haynesville 75 trillion cubic feet. In its 2010 assessment, the U.S. Geological Survey assigned the Haynesville 61.4 Tcf of natural gas.

West Texas Gas, Inc – Permit RN1114263755 – RED LAKE GAS PLANT

With a deep understanding the utility of natural gas, natural gas utility West Texas Gas distributes more than 25 billion cu. ft. of natural gas, propane, and other petroleum products to more than 25,000 residential, commercial, agricultural, and governmental customers in Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle region. The company, the fourth-largest investor-owned public utility in Texas, also operates retail gasoline stations and convenience stores and has gas gathering, production, transmission, and marketing operations. West Texas Gas is 100%-owned by CEO J. L. Davis.

TEP BARNETT USA, LLC – Permit #RN107105579 – WARD PAD

TEP Barnett is a Barnett Shale natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in downtown Fort Worth, Texas with our focus on developing natural gas wells in urban areas. TEP Barnett is an affiliate of the Total Energies company, the world’s fourth-largest oil and gas company, as well as a major integrated player in the global solar industry.

In 2009, Total Energies company became a 25% partner with another Barnett Shale energy company. Then in November 2016, TEP Barnett acquired the remaining interest from that Barnett Shale partner. With over 2,800 wells, 750 padsites, and over 200,000 mineral leases, TEP Barnett is committed to safety and excited to continue operating in the Barnett Shale.

Barnett Shale gas play refers to an extensive gas development project covering portions of at least 18 counties in the northeast portion of the Bend arch Fort Worth Basin in Texas. The core area of the Barnett Shale is in Denton, Johnson, Tarrant and Wise counties, and is largely dry gas, although Wise County is generally oilier.

Barnett Shale is a robust, low-risk undeveloped reserve in one of the United States’ oldest shale play. Multi-well pads in the Barnett Shale offer extremely competitive finding costs and returns.

RECOIL RESOURCES – Permit RNRN111427001 – MEYER CENTRAL FACILITY NO 1

Recoil Resources is a private exploration and production company based in Houston, Texas. We are focused on acquiring and developing assets in the oil window of the Eagle Ford Shale and Austin Chalks plays in South Texas. Led by our President and CEO, Charles Cusack, and leveraging our proven track record in unconventional shale plays, Recoil is implementing modern drilling and completion techniques in order to efficiently develop our asset base.

Eagle Ford in Texas is the most mature tight oil play in the Lower 48 current, oil and natural gas production of 2.5 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Measuring 400 miles long and 50 miles wide along the Texas Gulf Coast, the Eagle Ford basin is spread over 12,000 square miles in South and central Texas.

MEWBOURNE OIL COMPANY Permit #RN111427928 – CALVERLEY 42-31 BATTERY

Mewbourne Oil Company has been in Midland since it was founded in 1965

Permian Basin is a shale basin about 250 miles wide and 300 miles long, spanning parts of west Texas and southeastern New Mexico. It includes the highly-prolific Delaware and Midland sub-basins.

The Permian Basin, which spans western Texas and eastern New Mexico, represents the most prolific hydrocarbon production region in the United States. They accounted for about 30% of U.S. crude oil production and 14% of U.S. natural gas production (measured as gross withdrawals) in 2020. Technology innovations, such as longer lateral wells and multi-well pad drilling, has helped reduce costs and increase productivity in developing oil and natural gas resources in the Permian Basin.

Wolfcamp formation extends across the Delaware Basin, Central Basin Platform, and Midland Basin—the three sub-basins that comprise the Permian Basin. The Wolfcamp play has helped drive overall crude oil and natural gas production growth in the Permian Basin during the past decade. Crude oil production in the Wolfcamp accounts for nearly one-third of total Permian crude oil production and more than one-third of Permian natural gas production.
