We have 3 types of permits related to construction of new facilities the Permit Type is related to the stage of the project. 

  • Notify New – Prior to construction, a notification with basic information must be submitted.
  • Initial -Ninety days after submitting the Initial Project Notification, a more detailed registration for the standard permit is required.  This could be related to existing plant maintenance
  • Revision – Permit approved with a revision to the permit. This could be related to existing plant maintenance

BP completed the $10.5 billion acquisition of BHP’s U.S. unconventional assets adds oil and gas production of 190,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) and 4.6 billion oil equivalent barrels (boe) of discovered resources in the liquids-rich regions of the Permian and Eagle Ford basins in Texas and in the Haynesville natural gas basin in East Texas and Louisiana.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP KMP.N will buy natural gas pipeline operator Copano Energy LLC CPNO.O for $3.22 billion to tap into growing demand for infrastructure to transport vast supplies from the shale fields of Texas and Oklahoma.

Copano owns an interest in or operates about 6,900 miles of pipelines with capacity of 2.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) of gas and nine processing plants with more than 1 bcf/d capacity.

As a result of this acquisition, we will be able to pursue incremental development in the Eagle Ford Shale play in south Texas, gain entry into the Barnett Shale Combo in north Texas and the Mississippi Lime and Woodford Shales in Oklahoma,” CEO Kinder said.

Cimarex operations are focused in the Delaware Basin where the company has a strong land position with multiple horizontal drilling opportunities in the Wolfcamp Shale, Bone Spring Sands and Avalon Shale.

he prolific oil-producing Bone Spring and Wolfcamp formations account for most of the company’s current Permian Basin activity and production.  Cimarex continues to see marked improvement in well results due to newer completion techniques and the use of longer laterals. As Cimarex enters development mode, we will continue to apply new techniques to maximize productivity and returns for each area.

The Permian Basin accounted for 68 percent of Cimarex’s year-end 2020 proved reserves and 73 percent of total production.

Kinder Morgan’s SFPP system consists of the North Line, which includes approximately 864 miles of trunk pipeline in five segments that transport products from Richmond and Concord, California, to Brisbane, Sacramento, Chico, Fresno, Stockton and San Jose, California as well as Reno, Nevada. The products delivered through the North Line come from refineries in the San Francisco Bay Area, various pipelines and marine terminals. SFPP also includes the San Diego Line, a 135-mile pipeline serving major population areas in Orange County and San Diego; the Oregon Line, which is a 114-mile pipeline transporting products to Eugene, Oregon for shippers from terminals in Portland, Oregon; the West Line which is approximately 515 miles of primary pipeline and currently transports products from the Los Angeles Basin to Colton and Imperial, California, and Phoenix, Arizona; and the East Line which is approximately 400 miles of pipeline originating in El Paso, Texas transporting products to Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona.

Kinder Morgan’s SFPP operations also include 13 truck loading terminals, which provide short-term product storage, truck loading, vapor handling, additive injection, dye injection and oxygenate blending.
